What does RC Solutions make?
Our main product is roll cages for most popular monster trucks. We make an extended chassis kit with roll cage for the T-Maxx, called the Cybermaxx. We also make unique skid plates, bulkheads, chassis braces, and other accessories for R/C vehicles.

What does a roll cage do for me?
RCS roll cages protect the engine, fuel tank, radio, etc. from crash and roll over damage. They add strength to the chassis by connecting everything together, and bodies last longer because they are supported from inside.

What do they fit?
They are made for monster trucks, including the Traxxas T/E-Maxx, HPI Savage, Associated Monster GT, and soon the XTM Mammoth and others.

How is it made?
RCS cages are made from 1/8” 6061 T6 aluminum. They assemble in a patented interlocking method, and are held together with threaded spacers. This is strong, light, is economically mass produced, and is compact for shipping when apart.

How does it attach?
They attach to the bulkheads front and rear, and to the chassis in the middle. The method of attaching to the chassis varies with the different models. On the T/E-maxx, the cage hoops attach to the chassis plate, with a belly skid pan to hold them in place from underneath. On the Savage, aluminum brackets mount to the vertical plates for the hoops to attach to.

What modifications are needed to my truck?
For the T/E-Maxx, no modifications are needed. For the Savage, minor mods are needed to the plastic bumper braces and bulkheads. These are easily done with a file or Dremel tool. For the AE MGT, the plastic shields are replaced with aluminum parts (included with the cage kit). For the XTM Mammoth, holes need to be drilled in the chassis (templates are included in the kit).

Do normal bodies still fit?
Yes, all bodies will fit. Pickup bodies will need to be cut in the bed to clear the cage. Grave Diggers and SUV’s like Suburbans and will not, but all bodies will need new holes for body mount tabs. These mods are easy to do with a hobby knife or Dremel tool.

What is the Cybermaxx?
It is our extended chassis conversion kit for the T-Maxx. Extended chassis proved better high speed stability, and reduce wheelies with powerful engines. The Cybermaxx is a complete kit, with chassis plate, matching roll cage, universal engine mounts, skid plates, shock towers, and other parts needed for the conversion.

What is special about the Cybermaxx?
It is the only extended chassis and roll cage combination available. It is unique among other extended chassis because it spits the extended length between the front and rear, while others just add the extra length to the back end. By adding extra length to the front also, it maintains better weight balance for jumping, and allows us to relocate the fuel tank forward for protection.

Will RCS cages fit my truck with XYZ brand extended chassis?
No. Our cages for stock chassis trucks will not fit any extended chassis. The Cybermaxx cage requires the Cybermaxx chassis plate to attach to, and will not fit other plates.

Will RCS cages clear the big heat sink on my engine?
Probably, but there is no guarantee. All cages are designed to clear large aftermarket heads on stock engines. It is not possible to try every engine/head combination for fit, but most will fit. The fact is most engines do not need an oversize head. Engines need to reach a minimum temperature to properly vaporize fuel, plus large heads are more likely to cause engine damage from running too lean.

How much can the cage really take?
You really can stand on it, and we have subjected them to amazing punishment. But there are limits; nothing is indestructible. It is designed to protect from normal rollovers and cartwheels on dirt. Driving with a body helps reduce damage in a crash as the truck will slide more. Crashing on asphalt will bend it, as will high speed impacts with solid objects. Any crash that damages the cage would have done major damage to the truck without a cage.

I have a T-Maxx without body mount tabs. How do I mount the body to the truck with this roll cage?
RC Solutions roll cages for the Traxxas T-Maxx no longer have body mounting tabs on the cage parts, as shown in the instructions. Instead your body will attach to the stock body mount posts. For the front mount, no modifications are necessary. For the rear mount, the middle section of
plastic must be cut from between the body posts as shown below for cage clearance. Or you can use front body posts in the back. See image. Please contact us if you have additional questions.
